….. Exemplary bath architecture

The landmark of the seaside resort is the oldest pier in Germany dating back to 1899. On the square in front of the pier stands the Art Nouveau clock with its playful garland ornamentation, which was donated to the community by a spa guest in 1911. Ahlbeck owns buildings worth seeing, especially along the Dünenstraße, which runs parallel to the beach promenade, in the style of the classicist "Bäderarchitektur" (spa architecture): the basic colour white dominates in this street, while the colourful compositions in beige, bordeaux red and blue loosen it up.

... the Nice of the Baltic Sea

At 508 metres, the Seebrück Ahlbeck is the longest sea bridge in Germany. The opening took place in 1995. The original Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge was destroyed by arson in 1953 and 1958.

Carefully restored villas from the Wilhelminian period and extensive parks lend the Kaiserbad Heringsdorf its special charm.

... the little fine emperor bath

The seaside resort of Bansin was founded in 1897 specifically for the purpose of bathing. Its early planning as a bathing resort also made it possible to enjoy the "second" sea view. The Schloonsee, Gothensee and Mümmelkensee are located in the immediate hinterland. The seven-kilometre-long beach promenade for as far as Ahlbeck.
